WHO IS THE PRACTICAL CAREGIVER?
I’m Sara Barton. In college, I majored in education, with minors in psychology and art, focusing on the “whole child” concept. What does that involve? Engaging each child in cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and behavioral ways that foster self-confidence, self-control, and self-motivation. When teaching taps into both the heart and the head, children seek experiences that will empower them. They want to learn new things.
I began to blog as The Practical Caregiver in 2010.
That eventually morphed into a series of caregiver books and The Practical Caregiver Guides website. Through the years, I have offered caregiver support for others providing family care, as well as acted as a cancer caregiver advocate and patient advocate.
Now that I am no longer an active caregiver, I have returned to one of my earliest passions – writing. I am the author of several humorous cozy mystery series and several spy novels.
I do not accept guest posts, comments, or any other solicitations for The Practical Caregiver Guides website. Nor do I seek any marketing advice. For all other inquiries, contact me at practicalcaregiver@practicalcaregiverguiedes.com
